Privacy and Cookies Policy

Decifer Markets (the working name of the operator of this service) is the controller of the limited data described below. We are based in the United Arab Emirates.

You can use Decifer without giving us any personal information. Specifically:

• No account, no sign up. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identity to use the app.
• We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling of any kind.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade any data about you.

We store two small, non-identifying preferences in your browser using local storage: your display theme (light or dark) and the time you last opened the app, which lets us show you what changed since your last visit. These stay on your device. They are never transmitted to us and are cleared when you clear your browser data.

If you choose to allow analytics, we use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate usage, such as which pages are viewed and how the app performs. This service is cookieless and is designed not to identify you or follow you across other websites. Analytics does not load at all unless you opt in, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing the app data in your browser.

Like any website, the servers that deliver Decifer record standard technical logs to keep the service secure and reliable. These may include your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and our intelligence servers (DigitalOcean) act as processors for this purpose. Fonts are served from our own servers, so loading the app does not send your data to any font provider.

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), we rely on your consent for analytics, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable service for the limited technical logs described above. Where other laws apply to you, such as the GDPR for visitors in Europe, the equivalent lawful bases apply.

Because we hold so little, most requests are simple. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Ask what data, if any, relates to you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw your analytics consent at any time.

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service (hosting, infrastructure, and cookieless analytics), and only for that purpose. These providers may store data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. We do not share your data with advertisers.

On-device preferences remain until you clear your browser data. Technical server logs are retained by our providers for a limited period for security and reliability, then removed in the ordinary course of their operations.

Decifer is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the product and our company evolve. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be made clear within the app.
